Orthopedic Surgery-IN

Job Summary

Practice setting- Clearly define exactly what the work setting will be and what is expected of the locums (include patient volume and support staff)
o Comprehensive Orthopedics- clinic/call w/ scheduled surgeries
o Bread & Butter Orthopedics
o Tenured surgical staff with support by very tenured and high aptitude PA
o Trauma IV facility. Most trauma gets redirected or stabilized and scheduled. Historically very little call.
15-18 patients per day. 1/2 days are 10-12 in the morning.
On average- doing 2 total replacements and 1-2 small cases a day. usually 4 surgeries per day.

o One week a month (M-F) + one weekend of call

o 24hr weekend call one weekend a month (Very little call) – no weeknight call currently
à What specific procedures are required?
o Comprehensive Orthopedics – no robotics.

§ Partial meniscectomy
