Coverage Need Details: URGENT COVERAGE NEEDED FOR SEPT SHIFTS Temp privileges will be sought in order to get the provider privileged in time. Clinic + Call: September 13, 14 (24 hr call), 15 (24 hr call), and 17 Clinic only, no call: September 5, 6, 9, 10, 11, 12, 16, 18, 19, 20, 23, 24, 25, and 26 There are more open shifts available but the most urgent coverage is above. Please include what shifts your provider can cover in your presentation. Additional need is ongoing,

Clinic Coverage need for 1 week per month, clinic
and call. Need is long term, ongoing.

JOB INFORMATION *General expectation is provider is seeing patients from 8:30a – 4:30p during office hours, downtime can be used for clerical work *Two very busy hospital-owned established practice sites – one pediatric group: One located on Cole Memorial’s main hospital campus and the other in our Port

Allegany Health Center *Weekend Call: Mostly by phone (not often coming in at night); Expect to have to go in to ER or nursery once a week
for an emergency or admission, but it might not happen (or rarely could happen more often); Generally, round in hospital in AM, and then go to clinic; On call Pediatrician must admit patients both day and night (hospitalists admit ages18+); Can’t take call remotely – must be local to respond to ED or emergent c-sections within 30 mins *Level I nursery | 230-250 births/year *No NICU, instituted telemedicine for Neonatology on the floors with Children’s
in Pitts. *Higher level care PEDS transferred (sick babies transferred to Pittsburgh, Geisinger, Buffalo or Dubois) Generally, takes a 44-48 hour work week (including non face-to-face time to complete charts at end of day) *Minimum

Workload is expected to be 350-400 per month (15-18 patients/day) *Most FPs in the system do not see Peds – most coming to Pediatrics Group Express care (primary care walk-in) after hours and weekends, sees PEDS & adults (on hospital campus) – this helps the pediatric group and the on call physician *OBs doing circumcisions *Practice is 90% outpatient *No APP/Mid-level
